Ricard on pace for 629 snaps; Harbaugh calls him uniquely versatile, the offense's 'secret sauce'

Ricard played 37 offensive snaps in Week 1 against Dallas, on pace for 629 snaps over 17 games; his career high was 698 snaps in 2022 with Baltimore. Head coach John Harbaugh emphasized Ricard's unique versatility: 'There's a lot of things that Pat can do that nobody else can do. Nobody in the world can do some of the things that Pat Ricard can do.' Ricard aligned as a true fullback 15 times, inline tight end 7 times, slot 11 times, and wide receiver 4 times, functioning as what Ricard calls the 'secret sauce' of the offense through motion and shifting to create mismatches.
