What a dime and an awesome catch. I don't like the receivers running into each other on Mesh (I've had issues with the Eagles' lack of detail in the past), but luckily DeVonta Smith runs a fantastic route, and Hurts delivers a strike downfield.

Smith ran a mesh concept where receivers ran into each other, but his vertical shot and fantastic route-running saved the play. Hurts delivered a strike with excellent velocity and ball placement on the deep out, and Smith made an awesome catch. The source notes this was a much better play from Hurts than realized live, with the Eagles doing a good job confusing Washington's secondary and giving Smith an advantage on the deep out.
