From the article
Alec Pierce (at KC on SNF). We didn't see the Colts alter Pierce's role much to start the season: He had an average route depth of 13.4 yards in Week 1, which was actually higher than what we saw in 2025 (12.1) and 2024 (12.9). Better days should be ahead — Pierce is good at football and was a bit limited in his first game back from offseason ankle surgery — but I'm bearish about getting more than boom-or-bust WR4 production here, especially if Daniel Jones struggles against Steve Spagnuolo and company.

Pierce's unchanged route depth and Jones' matchup limit upside to WR4 boom-or-bust.
Pierce's role didn't change much to start the season with an average route depth of 13.4 yards in Week 1 (higher than 2025 average of 12.1 and 2024 average of 12.9); ranked WR41 for Week 2 at Kansas City on Sunday Night Football. The source is bearish about getting more than boom-or-bust WR4 production, especially if Daniel Jones struggles against Steve Spagnuolo's defense. Pierce was limited in his first game back from offseason ankle surgery, but better days should be ahead.
