Wright barred from NFL for 2026 after failed LSU return attempt

Tight end Dae'Quan Wright, who signed with the Eagles and later joined the Browns for training camp before being waived, attempted to return to LSU after Judge William Jorden granted former NCAA athletes a fifth year of eligibility. Despite Lane Kiffin's support, Wright was left off LSU's final 105-man roster and is now barred from visiting, trying out with, or being signed by any NFL club during the 2026 season. Agent Drew Rosenhaus stated Wright is exploring legal options.
