Lemon's Week 1 debut: 3 catches, minus-5 yards; needs route detail improvement.

Eagles first-round rookie wide receiver Makai Lemon had a quiet Week 1 debut, catching 3-of-4 targets for minus-5 yards in the 24-22 win vs. the Commanders. He did make a key block during Jalen Hurts' crucial third-and-18 conversion in the fourth quarter, but his stat line was disappointing. When asked to sum up his first NFL game, Lemon said "Lots to improve on." He identified route details and assignment definition as areas needing improvement. His struggles follow a forgettable offseason during which he was injured for most of training camp; in the preseason finale, he recorded just 3 yards on three catches plus a drop that led to an interception.
