Williams' arm talent and mobility give him tools to beat Flores' extreme blitz scheme.

Williams and the Bears running game came out firing and focused in Carolina; he completed 9 of 14 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns against the blitz in Week 1. Against Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores' extreme 78.3% blitz rate, Williams is well equipped to beat it with his arm or his legs. He was among the league's best at avoiding sacks and extending plays last season and has the arm strength to make any throw on the field out of structure. Dan Parr notes this matchup will give a much better gauge on whether Williams has entered the elite tier, and he is on record as a believer.
