Fourth overall pick created separation on intermediate/downfield routes; Ward failed to deliver.

Rookie Carnell Tate, the fourth overall pick, is the most interesting receiving talent in the Titans group. Tate created separation on several intermediate and downfield routes, demonstrating elite route-running ability. However, Ward couldn't get him the ball due to quarterback decision-making failures. On at least one snap, Tate broke open but Ward hesitated before failing to throw. The receiving talent is comfortably good enough for better quarterback play; the problem is Ward's execution, not Tate's ability.
