Hogs Haven on Stefon Diggs

Diggs' 6 catches and 3 drops reflect Week 1 timing issues, though film shows success vs. DeJean.

Despite being a top receiver, Diggs combined with Terry McLaurin for only 6 catches, 69 receiving yards, and 1 TD in Week 1, adding 3 drops and 1 costly unsportsmanlike conduct penalty; the Commanders gained just 4.8 yards per pass attempt (third fewest in the league) with receiver spacing and timing off with QB Jayden Daniels for much of the game. However, film analysis shows Diggs had success against Eagles CB Cooper DeJean when targeted, including his TD catch where he used crafty route-running and a crossover move to beat DeJean in space, drawing comparisons to Zach Ertz's route-running craft in the Commanders offense.
