Diggs drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on a post-touchdown celebration (jumping on goalpost padding) that directly cost the Commanders a 2-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter while trailing by two points; head coach Dan Quinn confirmed the team would have gone for two had Diggs not been flagged. The penalty cascaded into a field goal instead, allowed Philadelphia to score a touchdown, and ultimately contributed to a 24-22 loss. Diggs was fined $14,926 for the infraction and acknowledged the gravity of his mistake to teammates.
