With Alec Pierce sidelined by a heel re-aggravation (non-contact, carted off), Downs benefits most from the lack of available competition at receiver. He finished Week 2 with a team-high nine targets, seven catches for 72 yards. The source wasn't much of a believer in Downs' WR3 upside coming into the season, thinking the slot was his home and he'd be stretched out wide, but at this point there's simply not much left for the Colts to throw to, with Keenan Allen almost unrosterable and Laquon Treadwell their second-leading wideout by yards.
