Bleeding Green Nation on Darius Cooper

Cooper scores game-winner in first career TD; deserves more offensive role going forward.

Cooper scored his first career touchdown on the game-winning drive, a play where he was left open but had to go up and get the ball while staying in bounds. He also had the second-longest reception of the game with a 23-yard catch-and-run and nearly had another grab had Hurts not put the ball slightly too far out in front. According to Cooper, he was supposed to set a pick for DeVonta Smith on the game-winning TD but Smith fell down, leaving Cooper wide open. The source notes that good things happen when Hurts throws to Cooper and that the Eagles did themselves a disservice by not targeting him in Week 1, suggesting he deserves a role in the offense.
