Pierce left late in the first quarter on a non-contact play, was unable to put weight on his left ankle/heel, and exited the stadium in a boot using crutches. This is the same ankle/heel that kept him out of all of training camp and preseason. Given the severity of his departure and the need for additional evaluation, missing time appears realistic, which would be a significant blow to the Colts offense as Pierce is one of their most explosive playmakers and best downfield threat.
