Initial hope is that Caleb Williams has a Grade 1 hamstring strain. That's the lowest level, with minimal tearing of the muscle fibers. And even if it's only a Grade 1 strain, it's possible he won't be ready to go in eight days, when the Bears host the Eagles on Monday Night Football.

Williams suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2 against Minnesota. Initial hope is that it will be diagnosed as a Grade 1 strain (the lowest level with minimal muscle fiber tearing), but the MRI will determine the extent. Even if it's only Grade 1, he may not be ready for the Bears' Monday Night Football matchup against the Eagles in eight days. Before the injury, Williams was ineffective, throwing for 138 yards and an interception on 15-of-26 passing as Chicago couldn't crack 300 yards of total offense.
