Veteran WR Darius Slayton is signing with the Colts. With Alec Pierce dealing with a heel injury, Indianapolis turns to Slayton, who played the past seven seasons with the Giants — and now reunites with Daniel Jones. With Josh Downs and Keenan Allen handling much of the underneath and intermediate work, Slayton should have a chance to fill some of the vertical role.

Slayton reunites with Jones; positioned to fill vertical role while Pierce recovers.

Slayton is signing with the Colts as an experienced outside receiver to fill the void created by Pierce's injury. He reunites with QB Daniel Jones after seven seasons together with the Giants (2019–2024), reducing adjustment period. With Josh Downs and Keenan Allen handling underneath and intermediate work, Slayton should have a chance to fill some of the vertical role that would otherwise be missing. His speed gives Indianapolis another receiver who can stretch the field while Pierce is out.
