Puka Nacua being inactive tonight puts a big spotlight on Davante Adams. Adams had a quiet Rams debut in Week 1, catching just three passes for 26 yards on six targets in the 27-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. With Nacua potentially sidelined, however, Adams could be in line for a significantly larger role in Matthew Stafford's passing attack.

Nacua's absence puts Adams in line for expanded role vs. injured Giants secondary.

With Puka Nacua sidelined, Adams is in line for a significantly larger role in Matthew Stafford's passing attack. After a quiet Week 1 debut (3 catches, 26 yards on 6 targets in the 49ers loss), the Giants matchup provides an opportunity to rediscover his old form; New York's secondary is dealing with injuries including Paulson Adebo on injured reserve and Deonte Banks questionable. Nacua's absence makes Adams' ability to win one-on-one matchups even more important, and the Rams need their veteran WR1 to look like the dynamic playmaker they expected.
