Winston completed 11-for-27 for 111 yards and an interception in an emergency start against the Rams after Jaxson Dart's knee injury; he sailed several throws, struggled with pressure, and led the Giants to just 182 total yards and 11 first downs in a 28-6 loss. He completed just one of his first six passes for 1 yard and threw a terrible interception directly to Trent McDuffie in the red zone. The coaching staff's lack of confidence was evident when they abandoned the pass game late in the first half, running three consecutive plays from the Rams' 11-yard line.
