Willis had an arguably better stat line than reigning MVP Matthew Stafford against the same 49ers defense in their building; Stafford went 15-of-25, 155 yards, no touchdowns, one interception, a passer rating of 61.2, and a QBR of 37.5. Willis is making some inexperienced mistakes that need to be cleaned up—he ran out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage twice, which should be throwaways, and is missing some throws he should not miss. The box score says he was sacked 4 times, but only 2 of those were actual defenders getting him to the ground; the other two were self-inflicted mistakes. These are coaching moments and the offensive line struggles are contributing factors.
