It looks like there's a clear drop-off, at least in terms of responsibilities, from Demarcus Robinson to the next player. In his role, Robinson has been everything you want from a "Z" receiver. He has a very good feel for the offense. The 49ers are going to miss that.

Positive signalRole

Robinson's clear WR1 role and feel for offense make him irreplaceable amid injuries.

Robinson has a clear lead in responsibilities among 49ers wide receivers; in his role as the 'Z' receiver, he has been everything the team wants with a very good feel for the offense, though the 49ers will miss him with injuries at the position.
