Taylor was benched for Peterman in the 2017 Chargers game, then re-entered after halftime.

Taylor was benched by Sean McDermott in favor of rookie Nathan Peterman for the Bills' November 2017 game against the Chargers. After Peterman's disastrous first half (five interceptions on 14 attempts), Taylor was brought in for the second half but could not overcome the 37-7 halftime deficit in the 54-24 loss.
