I am a massive DeMond Claiborne fan. He is small in stature. He is not small in skill watching this guy, press the hole, make late cuts, make people miss explode.
STACKED’s take
DeMond Claiborne is a favorite down-the-board RB pick with excellent nuance and potential as a second/third down back.
The source is a massive fan of Claiborne, calling him one of his favorite down-the-board running back selections in the entire draft. Despite being undersized at 188 lbs (22 lbs lighter than the next lightest Vikings RB and 42 lbs lighter than Jordan Mason), Claiborne has excellent nuance and skill: he presses the hole, makes late cuts, makes people miss, and explodes. While his analytics profile is not exceptional, watching him execute the little things needed to be a successful NFL running back shows he has both physical skills and nuance. The source compares him to Jalen Warren as a potential second or third down back who is very consistent and savvy, though notes his contributions this year may be more as a returner given his size difference from the rest of the roster. The source is "pretty geeked" about him being a Viking.
