Pride Of Detroit on Isaac TeSlaa

TeSlaa has just 6 targets and 2 catches through two preseason games, fifth in target pecking order.

Through two preseason games, TeSlaa has just six targets and two catches—one being a garbage time conversion on fourth-and-18 while down 17 points with about two minutes left. He is fifth in the Lions' target pecking order behind Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta, and Jahmyr Gibbs. Lions associate head coach Scottie Montgomery explained that TeSlaa's limited opportunities stem from the Lions' exceptional depth at receiver and tight end rather than TeSlaa's performance; his targets will remain critical situational plays (fourth down, red zone, third down) until coverage adjustments force more distribution.
