Battle Red Blog on David Montgomery

Complementary back; can't carry offense alone, especially if line struggles.

David Montgomery has spent most of his career as a complementary back and has been one of the better ones, but he is not capable of carrying a team on his own. This limitation is particularly pronounced if the team struggles up front. The source notes that if Montgomery and Woody Marks are shut down like the Bengals did, the Texans offense starts to look really ordinary really fast.
