Dart lost for 2026 season to knee injury; major blow to Giants' offense and Harbaugh's plans

Starting quarterback for the Giants, Jaxson Dart was lost for the 2026 season to a knee injury. The injury is described as a 'gut punch' by head coach John Harbaugh and represents a major setback for the Giants' offense. Dart's presence, upside, passion, and charisma were cited as primary reasons Harbaugh accepted the Giants head coaching position. Former Giants head coach Brian Daboll, now Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator, expressed deep concern about the injury, stating 'It's always tough. I have a very good relationship with him. Obviously he's devastated with what happened. Prayers to him, his family, great people.' Daboll was the driving force behind drafting Dart 25th overall in 2025 and was Dart's biggest advocate in the organization.
