Steichen initially sent his offense onto the field, only to gesture to quarterback Daniel Jones not to snap the ball. 'Had a play called, [but] had to love the look to run it there,' Steichen said. 'And, if not, obviously we took the delay of game there and kicked the field goal to tie it.'

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones was gestured by coach Shane Steichen not to snap the ball on a 4th-and-8 play deep in Kansas City territory during overtime. Steichen had a play called but did not like the look to run it, so he took a delay of game penalty and kicked a field goal to tie the score at 30-30 instead of going for it.
