Instead of being able to load the box or attack the ground game by corralling running back Ashton Jeanty, linebackers and defensive backs get that tingly feeling in their neck when they see Bowers in the lineup.

Positive signalUsage

Bowers' versatile deployment forces defenses to abandon box-stacking; elite route tree.

Bowers' presence alone forces defenses to adapt their game plan. His ability to line up as a traditional tight end, on the perimeter as a wide receiver, or in the backfield creates defensive chaos. Defenses cannot simply load the box against the run game with Ashton Jeanty because Bowers' threat as a pass catcher punishes that strategy. He can run an entire route tree and get open on short, intermediate, and deep routes, creating vertical and horizontal threats. Additionally, Bowers is a capable blocker in both pass protection and run blocking.
