Cat Scratch Reader on Bryce Young

Young excels in zone but struggles badly against man coverage and pressure.

Young is poised to succeed when everything is going well but has shown clear weaknesses under pressure; he is good against zone coverage but pretty awful against man coverage, and that weakness gets magnified when under pressure. He can be accurate pushing the ball downfield when he has time but can be wildly erratic and throw incredibly weak passes when forced to work off platform. The source places blame for the Panthers' loss squarely on the shoulders of the coaches, of Bryce Young, and of most everybody else on the Panthers.
