Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota went 19 for 31 for 183 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions to efficiently fill Daniels's shoes... He was smart with the ball, making quick throws and taking checkdowns to keep the chains moving. And he was aggressive when necessary, like on a tight-window throw to WR Trey Burks for his second touchdown.

Mariota's 3-TD, 183-yard game was his best in four seasons

Mariota went 19-for-31 for 183 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions in relief of injured Daniels, completing 61% of his passes; this was his most touchdowns in a game in four seasons. He was smart with the ball, making quick throws and taking checkdowns to keep chains moving, and was aggressive when necessary on tight-window throws like his second TD to Trey Burks. Mariota has never lost to a team from Seattle (3-0 vs. Seahawks, 3-0 vs. Huskies).
