Positive signalProjection

Mariota's 110.0 rating vs. elite Seahawks defense was historic; 3 TDs his best in 4 years.

Mariota, stepping in as starting QB while Jayden Daniels recovers from elbow injury, directed the offense well against Seattle's elite defense, completing 61% of passes for 183 yards and three touchdowns—his most in a game in four seasons. His passer rating of 110.0 was exceptional context: the combined passer rating of every QB who faced Seattle's defense from Week 1 2025 through Week 2 2026 was 77.8, making Mariota's performance a significant outlier against a defense that ranked first in Defensive DVOA last season.
