Vikings trade McCarthy to Giants for 2027 5th-rounder after 10 starts.

Vikings traded McCarthy to the New York Giants for a 2027 fifth-round pick after just ten NFL starts; McCarthy was the highest-drafted quarterback in franchise history (10th overall, 2024 NFL Draft), making the trade a significant downgrade for Minnesota's quarterback room, which now has no quarterbacks under contract for 2027 beyond one-year deals for Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz.
