Pride Of Detroit on Jahmyr Gibbs
From the article
After torching the Jets for 164 total yards and three touchdowns on 27 touches, Gibbs is now the only player to accomplish the feat four times over that span. Jonathan Taylor is the only other player to even do it three times.
STACKED’s take
Gibbs' 164 yards, 3 TDs marks fourth 150+ yard, 3 TD game since 2023.
Gibbs recorded 164 total yards and three touchdowns on 27 touches against the Jets, becoming the only player since 2023 to accomplish the 150+ yards and three TDs feat four times (Jonathan Taylor has done it three times). His performance was particularly impressive against a Jets defense allowing less than 200 total yards per game prior to Week 3. Gibbs contributed to 11 of the Lions' 24 first downs and displayed mature, patient running—waiting for his offensive line to drive defenders and finding creases—rather than relying on explosive plays. His 5.0 yards before contact per rush was the eighth-best mark of his career, and his 65.0% success rate was the fourth-best of his career, with only one costly negative run play on fourth-and-one.
