Gray positioned as checkdown option on Mahomes' misdirection play.

Gray was set up as a checkdown option on a play where Mahomes used shoulder fakes and body language to move Miami's zone defense, causing defenders in the middle of the field to bail when Mahomes turned his shoulder to Kelce and climbed the pocket, giving Gray ample space to work on the checkdown.
