Mariota's three-TD upset win over Seahawks earns praise; efficient performance against elite defense.

Backup QB delivered a strong performance in Week 3 upset win over defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks, throwing three touchdown passes (to Rachaad White, Terry McLaurin, and Treylon Burks) on just 183 passing yards. Sealed the 33-31 victory with a game-winning first-down scramble late. Multiple power rankers praised his efficiency and fearlessness against Mike Macdonald's elite defense; Pro Football Network ranked the Commanders as high as #19 based on Mariota's performance. His mission is to keep the team afloat until Jayden Daniels returns, with winnable games against the Colts and Giants coming up.
