Bleeding Green Nation on Dallas Goedert
From the article
I haven't been that impressed with Lemon through the opening weeks, but this play reminds me what he can do. He understands how to find space in the middle of the field, presents a clear target, and gives Hurts an easy completion.
STACKED’s take
Lemon's intermediate-middle role can develop into a key weapon if Eagles use him vertically.
Lemon (Dallas Goedert) showed what he can do on a play-action concept where he found space in the middle of the field, presented a clear target, and gave Hurts an easy completion. The source notes: "He understands how to find space in the middle of the field, presents a clear target, and gives Hurts an easy completion." The source emphasizes that the Eagles need this relationship to develop and that Lemon should help them attack the intermediate middle, especially against defenses that mug the A-gaps and drop linebackers into underneath windows. The source states the Eagles need to "Get him vertical from the slot, let him work between levels, and stop forcing him into swing passes that do not suit what he does best." The source notes that while not impressed with Lemon through the opening weeks, this play reminded them what he can do.
