Field Gulls on Damien Martinez

Martinez tried out for Dolphins after Packers preseason release; seeking roster spot.

Seventh-round pick in 2025 from the University of Miami, Martinez underwhelmed throughout camp and preseason and was cut during roster cuts. Seattle briefly kept him on the practice squad before releasing him in early September. He remained a free agent until the Green Bay Packers added him to their practice squad in December. He competed for a roster spot in Packers preseason but was released again and not immediately signed to a practice squad. Martinez was among four running backs Miami worked out following De'Von Achane's ACL tear.
