Watkins elevated from bench to contributing role in Purdy's historic offensive start.

Jordan Watkins has been elevated into a meaningful role in the 49ers offense after being 'banished to the shadow realm just a week ago.' Despite the receiver room being decimated by injuries (Evans, Stribling, Pearsall, Robinson out; Samuel not targeted), Purdy has been moving downfield with Watkins, who is now contributing to the historic offensive start.
