Daily Norseman on Adam Thielen
From the article
J.J. gets a fresh start. He gets an opportunity to prove who he is and who he thinks he is... I'm very excited for J.J. to get that fresh start, to get a new set of eyes on him, for people to kind of judge him for who he is, and we'll see what happens.
STACKED’s take
Thielen optimistic McCarthy will thrive with Giants; sees fresh-start upside like Mayfield.
Thielen, who spent nearly a decade with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent and shared a locker room with McCarthy during the 2025 season before McCarthy requested a release, expressed optimism about McCarthy's prospects with the Giants. Speaking on SiriusXM's 'Airing It Out' show, Thielen stated that McCarthy 'gets a fresh start' and 'an opportunity to prove who he is,' comparing the situation to successful QB revivals like Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold. Thielen emphasized that McCarthy will benefit from 'a new set of eyes' judging him and that the longer tenure in the league shows such situations are not surprising. Thielen's stance suggests McCarthy has untapped potential that could be unlocked with a fresh organizational environment.
