Derrick Henry prepares for his first career game against the Titans, his former team, in Week 4 after signing a two-year, $16 million contract with the Ravens in March 2024. Henry acknowledged the emotional weight of the matchup—"It's going to be a crazy moment to be playing against the team that I came in the league playing for"—but downplayed making too much of it. Tennessee made no attempt to retain Henry in free agency, instead signing Tony Pollard to a three-year, $21.75 million deal. Henry described the situation as bittersweet, noting he saw the writing on the wall during the 2023 season and that the Titans were ready to move on, though he emphasized "It's always love" for his former team.
