Windy City Gridiron on Rome Odunze

Odunze featured in 3 explosive plays including 22-yard catch with perfect anticipation throw

Rome Odunze was featured prominently in Week 3 with 3 explosive plays total. He split out left in 11 personnel on the 25-yard Luther Burden play, then caught a 22-yard explosive play on the very next snap in a max protect 12-personnel look where Keenum threw the ball two full steps before Odunze reached the top of his route to find the coverage hole—a contrast to the prior week when Bagent held an extra second, allowing the defender to recover and making the play more difficult. Odunze's involvement in both quick-hitting and deep-shot plays demonstrates his role in the Bears' passing attack.
