Acme Packing Company on Jordan Love
From the article
Love on the other hand, has a bit of a longer delivery, a necessity given his longer arms, but he is also not as agile as Rodgers was. The play-action builds off of gap scheme are more befitting to Love's game.
STACKED’s take
Love's longer delivery and lower agility require vertical play-action over Rodgers' bootlegs.
Jordan Love is fundamentally different from Aaron Rodgers in ways that affect offensive structure. Love has a longer delivery due to his longer arms and is not as agile as Rodgers, limiting his effectiveness in the heavy outside zone play-action bootlegs and deep half-boots that defined Rodgers' era. Love excels with more vertical play-action structures that allow him to target the entire field and layer throws with velocity, particularly on digs, crossers, and short posts. The Packers' recent offensive line additions (Tomlinson, Becton, Zeitler) are designed to support gap scheme running that builds into vertical play-action better suited to Love's skill set.
