Positive signalRole

Henderson's demotion to 1B role and poor efficiency metrics explain his inability to secure lead-back duties.

After one game, Henderson returned to his 1B role in the New England backfield with nine touches, 29 total yards, 33.3% snap rate, 30.8% rushing share, and 27% route share (3.2% target share). He ranks 27th among 43 qualifying backs in explosive run rate, 42nd in yards after contact per attempt, and 39th in missed tackle rate. The source notes it's not difficult to understand why Henderson can't grasp or hold the lead back role in New England, as Rhamondre Stevenson has been the better rusher over the last two seasons. Even in an ancillary role, Henderson is an interesting flex play if he can pop one of his signature long runs for a touchdown against Buffalo's pliable run defense.
