How do you get Jerry (Jeudy), or how do you get the vertical passing game going a little more?... you got to take what the defense gives you... if you try to force those explosives and throw it downfield, and now you're sitting at third-and-long, and those are wasted plays.

Watson cautious about forcing Jeudy into vertical plays; will target naturally.

QB Deshaun Watson discussed the challenge of getting Jeudy involved in the vertical passing game, noting that teams know Cleveland wants to be explosive but the offense must take what the defense gives them. Watson emphasized not forcing vertical plays just for the sake of it, as that leads to third-and-long situations and wasted plays; instead, the team will let explosive opportunities come naturally and hit them when they arise.
