Yahoo Sports NFL on Davante Adams
From the article
Adams was extremely impressive in Week 2 against the Giants, but he did roast All-Pro CB1 Pat Surtain II for a monster 7-137-0 game, plus a downfield DPI. He remains an exceptional route runner against off coverage. The surprise is him clocking 20 MPH on a choice route win where he split safeties for an explosive play. Last year's hammy-laided Adams was not doing that. We should ride this wave while we can, especially with Terrance Ferguson (ankle) "unlikely" to play in Week 4.
STACKED’s take
WR17 projection; elite route running and athleticism; league-winner upside if Nacua injured
Ranked WR17 with 67.5 projected receiving yards at PHI. Adams was extremely impressive in Week 2 against Giants, roasting All-Pro CB1 Pat Surtain II for 7-137-0 plus downfield DPI. He remains exceptional route runner against off coverage and clocked 20 MPH on choice route win splitting safeties for explosive play—last year's hamstring-limited Adams was not doing that. Should ride this wave while possible, especially with Terrance Ferguson (ankle) unlikely to play in Week 4. Still waiting for evidence Puka Nacua doesn't have sports hernia or similar injury. If Nacua's injury lingers, Adams in Round 5 will be league-winner type selection if he stays healthy at age 33. Adams is WR16 on WR6 usage since 2025 when Nacua played, so don't be surprised by fantasy WR1/2 moments even with Nacua expected back.
