Samuel showed off great speed on that play, and it's another sign to trust him while he's healthy and the rest of the room is banged up. Without Mike Evans (ribs), routes were George Kittle (17-of-19), Samuel (15), KhaDarel Hodge (15), Christian McCaffrey (14), Jacob Cowing (eight) and Jordan Watkins (five). Samuel is still getting the occasional backfield rep while spending about half of his time in the slot.

WR23 projection; explosive plays schemed up but 15% target share limits floor

Ranked WR23 vs. DEN, assuming Mike Evans (ribs) is out. Samuel showed great speed on hook-and-ladder 80-yard TD play, another sign to trust him while healthy and rest of room banged up. Without Evans, routes were George Kittle (17-of-19), Samuel (15), KhaDarel Hodge (15), Christian McCaffrey (14), Jacob Cowing (eight) and Jordan Watkins (five). Samuel still getting occasional backfield rep while spending about half time in slot. Plays particularly schemed for explosive opportunities, though 15% target share flirts with no-floor territory on weekly basis.
