The Commanders have also allowed the most fantasy points to WRs this year, including massive games to inside-out receivers JSN (WR1 overall) and CeeDee Lamb (WR3 overall). Sneaky, sneaky start in deep leagues.
STACKED’s take
Allen's elite Commanders matchup (most WR points allowed) makes him sneaky deep-league start.
Allen was needed against the Texans last week with Alec Pierce (heel) on IR and delivered, scoring on a shallow cross in the red zone and beating zone coverage with instincts and physicality against backup LBs. He finished WR18 on WR13 usage with 9 targets. The Colts offense will pivot to a quick-release pass game without Pierce, with touches split between Allen, Josh Downs, and Tyler Warren. This week's matchup with the Commanders is favorable; they could be without backup LBs if Frankie Luvu (questionable) joins LB3 Leo Chenal (neck) on the sideline. The Commanders have allowed the most fantasy points to WRs this year, including massive games to JSN (WR1 overall) and CeeDee Lamb (WR3 overall), plus Dontayvion Wicks (WR15). The Colts project for 25.5 points (7th) in London. He's a sneaky, sneaky start in deep leagues, having had 58 yards against Washington last year in a different offense.
