Darren Waller might be a sneaky-good TE option in Week 4. Panthers WRs Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette are both banged up, and TE Mitchell Evans left Carolina's Week 3 game with an arm injury. Waller has a scrumptious Week 3 matchup against the Lions, who are without starting safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph and have been getting destroyed by TEs this season.

Waller sneaky TE play vs. Lions with Panthers WRs banged up.

Waller might be a sneaky-good TE option in Week 4. Panthers WRs Jalen Coker and Xavier Legette are both banged up, and TE Mitchell Evans left Carolina's Week 3 game with an arm injury. Waller had 5-51-0 on eight targets vs. the Browns last week—only the second time in the 12 games Waller has played since ending his brief retirement in 2025 that he's had more than five targets in a game. With some of the Panthers' other pass catchers banged up, he could continue to get significant target volume. Waller has a scrumptious Week 4 matchup against the Lions, who are without starting safeties Brian Branch and Kerby Joseph and have been getting destroyed by TEs this season, yielding 28 catches, 331 yards, and six touchdowns to tight ends.
