Yahoo Sports NFL on Tyson Bagent

Tyson Bagent expected to start for Bears vs. Jets with Williams out.

Expected to start at quarterback for the Bears against the Jets with Caleb Williams sidelined by hamstring injury; James Palmer reported the Bears are leaning towards Bagent to start Sunday, and ESPN's Adam Schefter also speculated it would be Bagent. The source backs Bagent based on his status as the backup, head coach Ben Johnson's stated belief that Bagent is good enough to be a starter in the league, and his position as one of the best-paid number twos in the NFL.
