Yahoo Sports NFL on Terrance Ferguson

Ferguson part of Rams' three-TE sets exploiting Eagles' middle coverage issues.

Ferguson is part of the Rams' three tight end sets that exploit the Eagles' defensive vulnerabilities, particularly down the middle where linebacker Jihaad Campbell is struggling with assignment recognition. Ferguson, Tyler Higbee, and Davis Allen have combined for 21 receptions, 4 touchdowns, and 176 yards. Fangio noted the Rams' tight ends are "pretty good receivers" and create extra gaps with their blocking, and the Rams are "committed to it and they're good at it." The Eagles may be without middle linebacker Zack Baun due to concussion protocol, further exposing the middle of the field.
