Bleeding Green Nation on Jordan Whittington

Whittington's blocking versatility and receiving ability create offensive flexibility.

Blocks like a tight end and can align close to the formation to block the C-gap, giving the offense a meaningful extra blocker where the defense might expect a receiver; can even align at fullback and the Rams will throw to him from the backfield. The source emphasizes he's someone to watch closely on Sunday as he might lead a block, insert into a gap, or release as a receiver, and McVay can move him between those jobs without allowing the defense to substitute. His willingness and ability to block make formations much more flexible.
