Waller has top-three TE upside vs. Lions' league-worst 33.4 PPR to TEs.

Darren Waller has been the TE9 over the past two weeks, averaging four receptions on 5.5 targets for 42 receiving yards, a touchdown and 14.2 PPR fantasy points per game. The matchup this week against Detroit gives the veteran tight end top-three upside. The Lions have surrendered 33.4 fantasy points per game to tight ends over the first three weeks, the most in the NFL, and 12 more points than the next-closest team. Detroit has given up a receiving touchdown and 13.3 fantasy points to five different tight ends over the first three weeks, including to Noah Fant and Jeremy Ruckert. Additionally, the Panthers won't have Xavier Legette (knee) and might not have Jalen Coker (quad), which could elevate Waller's role. The source states Waller could easily have his best fantasy performance this year if both wide receivers don't play.
