I whole-heartedly disagree with the notion that Washington has better vision and is the better overall running back despite the rookie averaging more yards per carry (6.8 to 3.3)...he's not a good route runner out of the backfield...Even at Arkansas, Washington wasn't much of a threat as a receiver. He had 28 catches for 226 yards and a touchdown last year, but that was almost exclusively swing passes, screens and check downs.

Washington's 6.8 YPC masks limited receiving upside; efficiency expected to decline with increased volume.

The source disagrees with the notion that Washington has better vision and is the overall better running back despite averaging 6.8 yards per carry to Jeanty's 3.3. Washington is not a good route runner out of the backfield and is a linear athlete rather than one who can effectively run option routes; at Arkansas, he had 28 catches for 226 yards and 1 TD, almost exclusively swing passes, screens, and check-downs. The source expects Washington to get more carries in coming weeks given Jeanty's ankle concerns, but projects his efficiency will decrease with more touches and defensive attention.
